Description: Pt/Ft Associate veterinarian needed. Here is an opportunity to work in a small, well established and respected practice in Lansing, MI. Just minutes from the Capitol, MSU, Cooley Law School and Lansing Community College. Our staff is dedicated to a high standard of compassionate and fear free care. Doctor to staff ratio is 3+ with a licensed veterinary technician and skilled support assistants. We are a close group who all work well together. We love learning and putting into practice what we learn for the benefit of the patient and client. We are currently a single doctor practice but have been a 1 1/2 doctor practice for at least 20 years. Our practice is small, but we do it all. We offer general medicine, preventative care, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, regenerative medicine (platelet rich plasma and stem cells), therapeutic laser, digital x-ray including dental, ultrasound and a full in-house lab (lasercyte, catalyst and sediview). We encourage annual health profiles. We require all pets undergoing anesthesia have a health profile run. All anesthetized pets are on IV fluids and closely monitored by a licensed technician and electronic monitors. WE are looking for someone who loves medicine and loves working with people and pets. We will mentor a new grad, but will expect them to work as the only vet in the clinic at times. Hours would be 4 days per week, no weekends or on call. If you work with a veterinary nurse who you'd love to continue to work with and is interested in following you. We'd love to talk with them as well.
